Six Data Points.
One Clear Winner.

Every comparison pulls a full history report on each VIN and lines up the critical data points so you can make a decision with confidence — not a coin flip.

Accident Score

Count, severity, airbag deployment, and repair history for each vehicle ranked side by side. A single major structural collision can disqualify a car from competition entirely.

Title Status

Clean titles on both vehicles? Or does one carry a salvage, rebuilt, or flood brand? Title brands follow a vehicle permanently and affect insurance eligibility, resale value, and financing options.

Ownership Count

Total number of owners, duration each held the vehicle, and whether it was ever used as a rental, fleet, taxi, or rideshare vehicle. High owner churn in a short period is a consistent red flag.

Odometer Chart

Every recorded mileage entry plotted chronologically for both vehicles. Rollback flags fire automatically if any reading reverses — letting you spot fraud before it costs you thousands.

Market Value

History-adjusted fair market value for each vehicle. Instantly see which is priced fairly, which is overpriced, and how much documented damage has reduced the value below average market price.

Overall Rating

A composite numeric score (0–100) for each vehicle based on accident severity, title status, mileage accuracy, ownership stability, and open recall status. Pick the higher score with confidence.

Compare Tool Questions

How does vehicle comparison work?+
Enter the VINs for both vehicles you want to compare. We run a full history report on each one simultaneously, then display the results in a structured side-by-side layout. Accident counts, title brands, ownership history, odometer readings, and market values are all placed in matching rows so differences are immediately visible. You receive two full reports plus the comparison view in a single purchase.
Can I compare more than 2 cars at once?+
The comparison tool is designed specifically for head-to-head analysis of two vehicles. If you're shopping between three or more cars, we recommend our 5-Report Bundle at $34.99 — you get five individual full reports at $6.99 each, valid for 90 days. Run them separately or in pairs using the comparison tool.
Does a comparison cost more than two individual reports?+
A vehicle comparison is priced from $24.99 for the pair — that's two complete history reports plus the side-by-side comparison view. Individual full reports are $14.99 each, so the comparison bundle saves you $4.98 while adding the structured comparison layout on top.
What is the comparison score based on?+
The overall score (0–100) is calculated from five weighted factors: accident history and severity (35%), title status and brands (25%), odometer consistency (20%), ownership count and use type (10%), and open recall status (10%). A vehicle with a clean title, no accidents, consistent odometer readings, and a single private owner will typically score above 90. Salvage titles or structural damage events significantly lower the score.
Can I save or share my comparison report?+
Yes. The comparison report is available as a PDF download that includes both vehicle history summaries and the side-by-side data table. You can save it to your device, send it to a mechanic before a pre-purchase inspection, or share it with a co-buyer. The PDF is included at no extra charge with every comparison purchase.
